Trump was shot at today during a rally. My intuition going on high alert, saying something feels off. Photos not matching videos and visa versa per usual. I know this will be great for his election. The Democratic Party is falling apart as it should. The Republican Party is falling apart as it should. I reject this entire system. Layers and confusion muddying the waters of both frenzied followers on the verge of seeing past the muck and finding the sun and refusing the sun. The illusion of two-party systems and the empire is crumbling as every tyrannical empire does. They are the same, working in the same yet nuanced frequency of control and power over people just trying to love and live. They are desperately grasping for straws as we wake up. They are desperately trying to perpetuate this old and expired idea of only two options while they work tirelessly with the bottomless budgets to cash out on the paralyzing human emotions of crisis and fear. I smell bullshit as I always have since I was young. Like always during election times, like clockwork, we drink the juice, and we point our weathered and traumatized fingers at our fellow survivors, workers, humans, and family. We put power into oppressive systems, and we are being strong-armed into rigid “us vs. them” mentalities. Same old shit and I watch some of the most respected people I know fall into this farce. It’s brilliant how they exploit our desire for simple answers and paint the world in black and white.
I look at my friends – some ardently liberal, others staunchly conservative, many in the middle searching for a place, a movement. While we put our eggs of representation in actors, exploiters, and liars for guidance. Trapped in these boxes, unable to see the vast spectrum of grey in between. Have we not realized this is a performance? Have we not realized these systems do not work? We’re spoon-fed these limited choices, told “this is all you have” when there is so much more.
I reject this swinging pendulum of extremes. It demands blind loyalty over critical thinking, innovation, unity, and love. The current model is crumbling, and it’s time to stand up and reject and rebuild. Lock me up, call me fucking crazy for choosing the freedom of all people, rejecting the use our hard earned money for meddling, murder, war, and control. This is set to end. This will end. This is ending. We hold the power to create a better future if we can only take our blindfolds off and realize that these systems were murderous and oppressive from the start and have never had unity at the forefront. We deserve more, we deserve better, we deserve love, do not fall into this highly funded trap. Our humanity depends on it.
